Yoshiharu Matsui of JHRS AskHR and President of HPO Creation, will deliver a presentation in this Conference on June 25, 2012 (Mon.), 02:00 PM - 03:15 PM, entitled:"How HR Can Be Best Business Partner in Face of Disaster, the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami"

Workplace Application: This session will show you how to increase your contributions to organizational effectiveness in the face of disaster.

In today's fast changing and uncertain environment, HR must be a true business partner to help build organizational capability in preparing for any disaster. This session reviews how HR and management have responded to the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan in 2011, and discusses some of the best practices and lessons learned through the post-disaster study as well as presenter's personal experiences during the prior earthquake disaster in 1995.   You will learn how to increase your contributions to organizational effectiveness in face of disaster, how to increase our employees’ capability and performance in preparing for future disasters, and how to develop and monitor business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
